The Gracellie Hotel is first and foremost a family business. Philip bought the hotel in 2009 and named it after his granddaughters - Ellie and Gracie. His own connection to island life gave him the enthusiasm needed to turn this huge un-loved and forgotten building into a functioning hotel. A new heating system was put in and extensive renovations throughout.

Kelly, his eldest daughter, took over in 2019 - just in time for Covid! With her family, Kelly began re-decorations to get the hotel looking more welcoming. Milo, our resident dog, has been helping along the way; ensuring no food is ever wasted and all good walks are explored, Milo is integral to the day to day running!

Charlotte, our general manager, joined the team last year and is busy making sure the day to day running is ship shape! Her boys, Milo and Marley, keep a close watch so she’s not slacking!

We have 50 airy rooms to suit every budget, plenty of free parking and cater for parties of one to group bookings. We have premium rooms that have beautiful views over the cliffs, standard ensuite rooms and budget rooms so everyone can enjoy the island. Our hotel also includes a large decking area, restaurant and bar, and other amenities making us one of the Isle of Wight’s most entertaining and comfortable accommodations. We are a two-minute walk to the beach where you can take in the fresh air and salty breeze that the island offers and on the coastal path for walks.
